The Phase II project of the UAE Railway covers three sections: B, C, and D, with a total route length of 424 kilometers and a total track-laying length of 650 kilometers. It is a vital component of the UAE's railway network. Since the official start of track-laying at the end of April 2021, it has taken more than a year. The track project department has produced 1,048,500 sleepers and 2,515 steel rails, each 400 meters long, which have been laid on the preset tracks as the track-laying machines advanced. The track-laying has traversed multiple obstacles such as deserts, gobies, and national critical areas, crossed nearly 300 structures such as bridges and culverts, installed 60 sets of turnouts, and achieved the laying of 451.3 kilometers of the main line. Currently, the main line of Sections B and C has been completed with double-track laying, the branch line of Section B has started track-laying, and Section D initiated track-laying at the end of March 2022.

In this issue, the editor will use "spectacular" scenes to take you on a journey to understand the track-laying works of the Phase II project of the UAE Railway.
